A holistic approach to learning, blending education with therapeutic support to address every aspect of a youth’s life: academics, social skills, personal issues and family interactions. Our success rate is phenomenal, attendance over 80% and course completion rates double the average. We graduate over 95% of students that enter Grade 12.

Dedicated to transforming young lives

We believe that every child should have access to education and the opportunity for success in life. For almost 20% of youth in British Columbia, this is an enormous challenge due to mental and emotional health, behavioral issues or family circumstances. They simply don’t fit the conventional school model and our education system struggles to provide them with the necessary environment to learn and grow – and succeed.

Focus Foundation was formed in 1975 as a non-profit society advocating for vulnerable youth and their families through its support of Whytecliff Learning Centres. We are dedicated to transforming young lives through access to education, because we believe that no child, regardless of their circumstance, is an acceptable loss.
